How to know that G mail is Hacked?

The hacker immediately sends mail to all the people in the contact list writing a mail “ I am in xyz place and I have lost my wallet and is in great trouble plz send me money”. Mostly hearing this many of the close people give a call and many times that is the warning bell that the mail is hacked.

What to do immediately after you know mail is hacked?

Access the internet and change the password of the mail.

If the hacker has changed the password and you can not log in, then what to do?

In the login page of gmail, u can find a link to “cant acess my account”.

Enter your alternate email ID and submit.

They will ask for security questions which were set by you in the setting page of gmail.

Many times the hacker changes the security questions and you cant enter through that link.Select the other option I have no longer acess to these. If you have not activated 2 step verification in settings page of gmail then select No.

Then the account recovery options will be displayed in next page.

What are Questions asked in the account recovery option?

• An email address we can use to contact you* (Please enter an email address that you can access)
• Re-enter email address*
• Phone number(s) for two-step verification
• Account creation date
• Last password you remember*
• Last successful login date
• Gmail information name of your kid
• Most recent recovery email address:
• Email addresses of up to five frequently emailed contacts
• Names of up to four labels: Seen on left pannel of gmail.
• Did you receive an invitation to create your account? Yes / No
• If yes the mail ID and date. (It is difficult to remember the invitation ID but better if u remember)
• Product information i.e use of other products of google like adsense,analytics, blog etc. the date of creation is required but atleast some where close date should be mentioned And submit.

What next?

Then the alternate mail will receive a confirmation from the gmail.

Then take a break infact after a gap of 2-3 weeks u will get a mail asking for certain security questions it is taken for manual review.

Then you need to reply to the security questions.

-When and where you created the Google account
-When and where you last accessed the account
-Other Google services you use (and the approximate date you signed up for them)
-If you use Gmail, the email address of the user who invited you to Gmail
-If you use Gmail, the email addresses or names of frequently emailed contacts
-What devices or applications you use to access your account
-Any other information about how you lost or typically used your account

Finally before the battle is won the last mail from google
